Hi Leslie, Go to this page on the website and it gives the web addresses for the three transcription agents. http://www(.)bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyHistory/howToSearch.htm#TranscriptionAgent (take out the brackets) or search on their website 'transcription agents' You do need the ref. no from the BDM index Di

Hi Di Thanks for that. I have heard of transcripts and that they are cheaper, but don't know how to go about getting one, can you tell me... Cheers Leslie

Hi Leslie, A 7th Jun debit does not mean that they posted it that day, it might just mean it was processed. But that was two weeks ago. Even it was posted the following Tuesday (Monday was a public holiday here), I think that is long enough for snail mail. I think it would be okay to phone them and just check, may be the bad storms here over the last two weeks have created a delay of some kind. You do know about getting transcriptions don't you - pre 1976 for deaths, pre1956 for marriages, pre 1906 for births, for about half the cost of certificates themselves. Di in sunny Sydney

Hi All Can anyone tell me how long it actually takes for a certificate to be posted. I bought one on the 6th, they debited me on the 7th but I still haven't received it. Should I give them a ring. Leslie
