Fishburn and Roberts and Amesbury

Surnames Fishburn Roberts Amesbury Hi good people I am really hoping someone can help us with a sad mystery we have ! We are trying to find out what happined to Marjorie Fishburn (born 1916 Sedgfield) who married a William Amesbury (born 1900) and both married in 1931 in Stockton ! Marjorie it seems was very young when she married aged 15 or 16 (1916 born) (marriage 1931) no info on any kids Marjorie died in 1957 (aged 41) in Middlesbrough area she took her own life and killed herself by putting her head in the gas oven ! we wonder if anyone could find anything out like why she did this and for what reason etc it is very upsetting and something must of happined bad we would be greatful for any info newspaper clippings any info on children or what happined to her husband we have searched in vain for a reason for the death etc Also trying to find out about Muriel M Fishburn (born 1918 in Stockton) and who later married a (not much info known on him apart from his surname) Roberts ! anyway they married in Blackpool in 1946 Muriel died alone we belive in the 1980's in Liverpool (wallesey area rings a bell) no husband known of then not sure if she took the surname Fishburn or Roberts it is belived tthough that Muriel had 2 children a boy and girl and the girl was called Jenneifer sorry to be so vague in fo as you can imagine we have been stuck on this part for a while thankyou very much Andrew |

Andrew if you are able to get to the area where she died there will probably be a newspaper report about her, Do you have her death certificate because there will probably be a coroners report. Local newspapers are usually available on microfilm in the local libraries. Georgina. |

Hi yeh Marjorie died in 1957 in Middlesbrough I have looked on the net but could not find anything about it so far :-( |

Andrew I doubt you will find anything on the net, it's the local papers you want. It might be worth finding out the name of the local newspaper & sending them an email asking if they can help. Georgina. |

Andrew I can tell you that Muriel married Arthur Roberts. But to find a death record for Muriel or Arthur you would have to trawl through the death indexes on Ancestry. Georgina. |
