Ann, did your Hubert Pattison serve in WW1 in the Canadian army? There are attestation papers for Hubert, born 3 Dec. 1873, Newcastle onTyne. Next of kin Edward H. Pattison, 10 Langdale Rd., Liverpool. collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/cef/001042-100.01-e.html He enlisted at Montreal, Aug.20,1915 Margaret Update, this silly site wouldn't allow me to put the address in with the www. because collections starts with the dreaded co. So add www. before the address.

It's too bad that your Pattison family wasn't from Cornwall, Ontario, where I live. We have the most wonderful website called 'Cornwall roots'. Volunteers have photographed every gravestone in every cemetery in the area. They're all online and free. They're now working on all of the obituaries in the area. I just wish other communities had such a service. Margaret

There's another site, Ann, that you might not know about. It's Ontario Vital Statistics. You can find it by googling 'ontario vitals'. Unfortunately, like most Canadian records, you can't find anything as recent as the death you're looking for. Margaret
