I have Ancestry access so feel guilty asking, but I cant find a girl born out of wedlock. I have little Sarah Page on 1871 census aged 2 (she was born 1868 in Hornton, Oxfordshire) with her mum Eliza Page, who was housekeeper for a widdowed man (John Burden) in Hornton. Her mum married this man in 1872 and had 2 sons, but on the 1881 census Sarah is nowhere to be found. Have checked 1891 without adding her surname in case she was married then; quite a few possibles came up, so I checked the new surnames against marriages for Sarah Page, but nothing, so I dont think she's there. (Eliza's eldest brother John was deported to Oz in 1853 and the family weren't well thought of!!) Thanks for reading.
