Hannah Archdale age 40 (nee Roberts) is in 1851 with her husband Thomas and children Samuel, John, James,etc As there a lot of Hannah Roberts born c.1810 I would like to know if her place of birth is given in the census (hopefully Rothwell) please. Many thanks, Frances

The 1851 census has them living in Rothwell, but gives Hunslet as birthplace for both Hannah, Thomas, and Samuel. Thank you Kath and Reg. The families living in this area seem to alternate Hunslet and Rothwell (which are next to each other) so that narrows things down - October 1810 Rothwell seems very reasonable. I suppose the age of 56 in 61 is possibly a mis-transciption of 50

In the 1841 census Thomas and Hannah are living next door to a John and Martha Archdale, who could conceivably be Thomas's parents. Kath. x

I think the age on the image for Hannah in 1861 might say 51. Kath. x

Indeed Kath, John and Martha are Thomas' parents and she is Martha Wood but there again I am spoilt for choice on the correct Martha - lol (or tears) 50/51 I am happy with that a quickie look gives Martha as 84 in '51 so is there a place of birth for her in the full census please?
