where do you go to find what a inmate did in 1881? thanks

You will need to find out who holds the records for whatever prison the person was in. Probably the Records Office for the area. Or youy could try searching newspapers for the area to see if there is any report of the trial. Sam x

Inmate is also used on censuses for a person in a workhouse or hospital. Anne
