No, I looked for the marriage and I couldn't find it either, thats why I asked how you knew the maiden name. There are a couple of marriages for John Adams and a Charlotte but neither are Charlotte McCarthy. Sam x

sorry sam.....i explained badly.... Later on in life, charlotte (the 12 years old one on the 1901 census married a Ward, had children, and when he died she married a Walker. It was one of her daughters (phyliss)that married the Leach...... lol Is that explained better? thanks for that.... anis

If the sons were killed in the war their names (and probably those of their parents) will be on the CWGC website. ww.cwgc.org If you get the marriage cert for your great-grandmother it will tell you how old she was when she married and also the name/occupation of her father. Sam x

hello. I'm just wondering of a lovley person has a bit of time to do a little look up for me. I have the names of numerous siblings and the surnames of their parents, but I don't know the parents 1st names..... so am a bit stuck!! I'm looking for a male ADAMS (westminster area) and a female McCarthy that married and had Charlotte James Joseph Millicent Ellen and another 2 sons william and richard (killed in the war.....) Charlotte is my great grand mother, born probably around 1880. Sha married an Albert Ward and married later on to a Colin Walker....
