Topsham is very near Exeter about 50-60 miles from Tavistock. I should be going to the records office sometime this week. |

Hi, I think the marriage would have been in Devon, because the first two children were born in Tavistock, Charlotte was born in Topsham but I can't find it on the map i have looked at, so don't know if it's close to Tavistock or not, but marriages usually take place in the brides parish don't they? I did find a ref to a Charlotte Arm at one time,but don't know were, I gave them to my MIL, it's her mothers family, she's since died and it's dissapeared, serves me right for not keeping a record myself.Gill |

record offices please. Iam looking for the marriage of William & Charlotte Lock around 1830. she was born in Topsham and he in Tavistock. On 1851 census there eldest child is 17. Baptism of James Lock born abt 1840 in Menheniot, Liskeard Cornwall. Thank's Gill |
