Help in obtaining a marriage certificate

Go to gro.gov.uk Fill in the online form making sure you tick the box that asks if you have the reference. Only ever pay £7 for an online order. Anne

Please could someone tell me which office to go to to obtain a marriage certificate of Bridie Gannon and Edwin J. Powell, married JFM quarter 1934 in Hendon volume 3a page 764 from ? I am new to all this and it would be the first certificate i have tried to buy so sorry if i sound thick. Thanks Teresa.

Hope that helped you!? Take care - there are some internet companies offering to get certificates and charging big prices. They only get the certificates in the SAME way we all get them - from the GRO. Anne

Not many of the London register offices will supply certificates for family history purposes, so it is best to use the GRO as Ann suggests. The address is:- www.gro.gov.uk/certificates Remember to say 'yes' when asked if the full GRO reference is known. (They will charge you more if you say 'no'). Kath. x
