Hi all my g.g.grandfather William Venn died on Ushaw Moor railway platform Newyears eve 1893. How do we obtain copies of local newspapers to see if anything happened to cause his death. (he was only 38) thanks alison. |

Have you bought his death cert? Is this it? I dont know the area. If it is then you can buy the cert for £7 from GRO online using the following ref and that will tell you the cause of death and most likely there would have been a coroners hearing. Deaths Mar 1894 Venn William 38 Durham 10a 191 |
