You dont know how pleased I am to see this thread. I do live on the Island but find it difficult to get to places like registries with 2 kids under 3. Can you imagin it! All hell would break loose. My great great grandad was born over here but was an orphan and in one of the childrens homes. I have no idea how to find him. He was called Sydney(sp?) Crellin and born a round 1900. So I have very little info on him. He then went in the navy and married a woman Called Sarah Kay in England. I would be so grateful if you could find anything about him. I can visit the registries for those of you who don't want to actually visit our beautiful Island! Will also obtain photos (if I can) of headstones, relevant addresses etc.
