Hi All I'm looking for evidence that a Miss Stansfield who was driving a car in 1910 (it was delivered to her) than become Lady Compton, the next owner of the car, in Ringwood Hampshire. I found a marriage in Sep 1910 in Bolton between an Albert Compton and a Bertha Stansfield. The census won't help as it's too late. Don't spend more than five minutes on this as it's more idle curiosity than anything else. I suppose they could have married in Bolton (where she was born) then move to Lord Compton's place in Ringwood, so it could be them. Alan |
