A death cert came this morning that may have been my g grandfather.......it states him living at Landithy Cottage and his occupation was caretaker at Landithy Institute,Madron. What i'm asking is does anyone know anything about this institute? Karen |

Hi Reg, yes i have but i can only get Landithy Hall which may have later been institute but can find nothing actually about the institute, Karen |

It was most probably the Madron Institute, which was the local Workhouse/hospital for the area. OC |

...but further googling brings up a current address for the Caretaker of Landithy Hall, formerly the Institute, and the address is 1, Landithy Cottage..... (Hall, as in village hall, not 'the big house') (Landithy is the old Cornish name for Madron) OC |
