again, the remarriage is on SP. It looks like the 1891 info he's after is on the other thread anyway?!? I think I might stop looking now too!! Thanks Maureen x

Fox, I had a pm from Brian after the orignal thread which is why I was asking about a remarriage. 'I have a death certificate for Eliza, she went on to be called Lauiston and died on the 28th Jan 1928 aged 72' Without feedback from Brian on the original thread I gave up the search. Maureen

Maureen, the one I found was for an Eliza Mcarthur, other names, Andrews. I think SP registers deaths under both married names. I did this myself with one lady. Having no idea she had remarried, I put a search in what I thought was her married name (Carrigan) and her maiden name (smith) and up she pops under Jones!!! (or whatever the surnames where). If he goes on SP and looks at it, he will defo find it.

Fox, The death cert for Eliza is not in the name of McArthur. I did ask about a remarriage for her but got no response. I think that Brian needs to spend some money on ScotlandsPeople Maureen

Do you have their death certs? How do you know which year they died? There is an Eliza Mcarthur and Fred* Mcarthur who were born and died, in Midlothian (Edinburgh) in the years you stated in the reg. of deaths on scotlandspeople
