I found this on the 1901. He's a boarder, and no son with him. His occupation has been scribled out (possibly because he had a trade, but unemployed at the time?) And it looks like it could say 'commision gas fitter'?!? The man below him is a gas worker. Do you have a mother's name for Charles?
