Hi Jim Yes it says British Subject in 1881. I did try on family search but nothing listed, for Samuel at all only 3 other births that I wondered if they could be siblings,if so the parents were William Ricketts Parker and Anna Maria Taylor and they got married in the British Embassy Paris in 1836. I will see if anyone is on find mypast and do a look up for me Many thanks John

In the 1881does it say 'british subject'? You my find his birth on findmypast overseas. marriage? Fanny Elizabeth Barrington 1864 Oct-Nov-Dec Islington Greater London, London, Middlesex Samuel George Parker 1864 Oct-Nov-Dec Islington Greater London, London, Middlesex

Can anyone help me on the right track to find a birth in France of a British subject born 1839. I have found a number of births around the same period between 1839 & 1842 in Boulogne. The name of person I want to find is Samuel George Parker, where would I have to apply for a birth certificate. Obviously the family returned to England for the first sighting of Samuel was in 1871 census by that time he was married.
