there are 154 results with that name and durham. any idea on a b yr? way too many to open to see what jobs they did, |

can anyone help me please, i need a look up for 1901 but all the info i have is name, occupation and place of residence! james white brickmaker brasside, co.durham he had an illegitimate daughter ( my grandmother) with frances ferry. if anyone can find anything that looks like a possible match that would be great! or any other ideas on how to find this man would be gratefully recieved! thank you ! jenny |

hi thanks i know its like looking for needle in a haystack, he was my g.grandfather so i can only go by g.grandmothers age she was born in 1875 so somewhere around that might narrow it down a bit! thanks! jenny |

Did you get the info from a marriage cert? If so, what was the name and occupation of his father? When did the marriage occur? How old was he at the time? Reg |

no my g grandparents were never married, my grandmother was illegitimate, the info came from a baptism record. |

frances ferry, she is on 1901 census with her husband william shanks and she is listed as francis shanks, with daugters maggie and martha. |

frances ferry was the woman that he had my grandmother with! and i know she married somene else, i dont know if james white was married or not! have very little to go on! |
