Im trying to find any imfo out there regauding my granfather but im sorry the only imfo i have is: Name : FREDERICK JAMES GODDARD B.o.b : 11 Feb 1916 Born : DUBLIN ( maybe O connel St ) Im sorry for the lack of notes but his family were never spoken about & it was almost a tabo subject infrount of my grandmother!!!! Hi Peggy There are no complete BDM's for Ireland on line that you can look at, like we have over here for England & Wales, apart from those on the www.familysearch.org/ website and they are by no means complete. You will find some civil registrations from 1845 for Non Catholics, and from 1864 for Catholics under their IGI records. However, as you have a Date of Birth and you know he was born in Dublin you can apply to the Southern Ireland Records Office for a copy of the birth certificate. I will nudge my thread for you on the Tips board.....IRELAND GRO websites ......for those that don't know. Regards...Teresa
