Maria, I did look at the 1841 family shown as Work 1851 these two are a fairly good match for the 1841 Work family but now called World Caleb World, wife Ann abt 1825 Piddletown, Dorset, Head Piddletown Cornelias World Father:William, Mother:Elizabeth abt 1830 Piddletown, Dorset Piddletown Maureen

she's also found a George WORK but don't know if he's the right one either

This was friend's problem: 'This George World (father of Sarah Ann) is bothering me now. He says that he's 35 in 1871 so born c.1836? He also states that he was born in Piddletown, Dorset. The only George World born in Piddletown who appears in the 1861 census was born in 1851. Sigh........' I'm not sure what her problem is really as she's been doing Ancestry long enough to know agees are often incorrect. She's been telling ME they were sometimes way off so I don't know! Glitter. Thanks very much though. I've already suggested the one who was born in 1828 might be the correct one, but I'll pass this info on as it does look promising.

Sorry all for another question, but the details already stuck up, although looking fine finding the Sarah and George together, don't seem to tally with earlier censuses in 1841 and 1851. Seems to be a big of an age discrepancy in George's birth year. If anyone's bored.....!

Glitter They were the details I initially looked at without her father's name but could find nothing. It was only THEN that I put in her parents names and couldn't find her. After I'd found her mother's death though, I forgot to delete her name from the search and just try it with George. Many thanks once again
