Rudolph's birth place is recorded as Berlin in 51 but Ramsgate in 61 and back to Berlin in 71. This just adds confusion/interest, Margaret born in Ireland (?)married a German from Berlin, had first son in Berlin. All other children seem to have been born at various places around England, Ramsgate, London, Sandgate, on one census Shorecliff Camp is mentioned - what's the connection with the Army. Julius was a Musician/Bandmaster - the plot thickens I can't find them after the 71 census - any ideas? Could they have possibly changed surname to Smith (heart sinks)? Thanks Rachel |

Glitter Baby & Jennifer - thanks to you both. I have found her on the 61 & 71 census both it say Ireland - but I have a gut feeling that Ireland isn't correct. On the 51 the word Ireland is clear above and below her entry but the letter formats are different for her entry. Thanks Rachel |
