These may...or may not.. be their children's birth registration. Although the first 2 are 'out of area' you might want to consider them because of the first name Alice, which might link to your couple. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Dec 1911 Woodgate Alice D Harman Wandsworth 1d 1140 Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Dec 1913 Woodgate Leonard F Harman Lambeth 1d 820 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Jun 1914 WOODGATE George Harman Steyning 2b 456 Gwyn

Any idea how I can trace descendants from a George Woodgate? I tried the phone book thing on Ancestry but its not much good. I am looking to trace descendants of George Woodgate b1890 married Alice Harman in 1913 in Sussex, Brighton and Hove area. He died in 1975. How would I go about finding out about what kids they had?? I am doing this because its my mums family and she is now 72 and in poor health. Any tips gratefully received., Please PM me if possible as I use someone else's computer. Thank you Julie Essex PR look up in Return.

Hi Julie You need to trawl the birth indexes for children born with the surname Woodgate and mother's maiden name Harman. Start 1913 and work forwards. Without buying the certificates you won't be 100% certain that any you find belong to your family but the names aren't too common so if they are born in the right area you are probably safe in assuming that they are. Sam x P.S I have also send this by PM.
