finding more info on ggrandparents

well im just wondering if it was a spelling mistake cos ive been looking on bmd indexes and its brought up further info that rings a bell so im gonna try research that side to see if working backwards helps,thanks for all the help |

Even in the 1900s you can have variations with spellings of surnames. I wouldn't be too bothered if everything else adds up. I have a friend who has 3 variations of her surname recorded for living family members. Gwyn |

i was wondering if their was another way to find my ggrandparents without having to buy my grandparents marriage certificate? my grandparents was john magan b1911 in cumberland and agnes curnow b1914 in cumberland on the bmd johns mothers maiden name was duffy but i cant find any other info on bmd indexes regarding a duffy marrying a magan any ideas |
