In 1871, the birthplaces are listed as Inskip, apart from the mother.......... thank you OC and GEORGINA, i just wondered as i dont know lancashire and couldnt believe when i saw the duplicates of ALL the children, thanks a lot for your time , what a waste of space on FAMILYSEARCH best wishes EILEEN

Eileen the Inskip births on the IGI are extracted which means they are taken from the parish register, the ones from Morecambe are submitted entries which means that a member of the LDS church has added these records and they are usually full of mistakes, my advice would be use the IGI as a guide but always double check the details. Eilenn The INSKIP baptisms are records extracted from the parish register and therefore likely to be reasonably accurate. The Morecambe ones are submitted records and give dates as 'about' - meaning they havent found a baptism. Ignore the submitted ones. OC

If you look on a map Inskip is nearer to Blackpool than Morecombe. If you go to GENUKI site and put Inskip into the search box it will give you all the information Jennifer

on 1881 england census i found a possible relative, THOMAS HOUGHTON, TOAD HALL,INSKIP WITH SOWERBY, LANCASHIRE, along with wife ELIZABETH and 12 children, all listed as born in INSKIP,on looking up children on FAMILY SEARCH found each one born INSKIP, then further down the list found all the children again born MORECAMBE, can anyone tell me if INSKIP is in MORECAMBE please, or is this a duplicate entry and why two entries ?? i will give you the first 3 children for your convenience WILLIAM 23 INSKIP SON JOSEPH 20 INSKIP SON THOMAS 18 INSKIP SON thanks for your time EILEEN
