Brentford in some form has ben in existence for hundreds of years as far back as 1016 so it would seem reasonable for john to say he was born there. Possibly not Brentford as we now know it. |

Ali I was looking through the census to make sure he said he was born in Brentford in all of them, as Brentford wasn't Created untill 1837 |

can anyone help me please with further reserch of my 2xgreat grandfather john catten shoemaker, born brentford 1812, lived in richmond most of his life with wife rebecca towers shoebinder and their children. i'd like to find his parents an siblings, any help would be lovely, thanks alison |
