Just to let you know that at the moment no-one can go into the Salford Registry Office as a mineshaft has been discovered under the building. This means that if you need copies of any certificates, you have to go via GRO as the staff don't have any idea when they will be able to go back into the building to get the certificates. Rachel

Oh, i hadn't heard of that!! Thanks! When you say Salford, is it in Salford itself? not the swinton one on Barton Lane? cos thats the one i normally go to! Thanks for letting us know! Alison
