Look Up In Lewis Record SUSSEX Office Requested

Is anyone going to the Lewis record office in the near future? If so, could they look for a baptism in DITCHLING for me? The details are NAPHTALI WICKHAM who was born in 1870. His parents are Mark Wickham & [Martha Perry] Of course if they have time would appreciate any Wickhams found between 1864-1875. Many Thanks. |

That's the problem. They are on the IGI with what is termed 'about dates' which means that the individual who placed the info on the IGI did not bother to look up the info in parish registers. He/She used census info which varies from census to census. Also Naphtali is listed as a female. I am saying Ditchling as he was born there. All this individual has done is taken the census place of birth as correct and submitted that as being the place of birth yet the family are not in the parish registers for the Keymer area etc |

Hi Have you looked at the online parish clerk site for sussex quite alot of baptisms etc already transcribed, or the sussex weald site as well |
