can we view the census records for 1911 and 1921 as i just found this on ancestry Why are there no census records after 1930? To protect the privacy of living persons who may appear in the censuses, The government requires a 72-year waiting period from the year a census is taken before it can be released. For this reason, the 1940 census will not be made available until the year 2012. it doesnt state that we cant view the other censuses |

Paul This must be for US census. There is an 100 year closure on UK census. |

1911 will be available in 2012, 1921, 10 years later. And 1931 does not exist. Reg |

Paul, that may be the US census, I believe they were taken on the ten year ie 1920,1930, etc. I know we are not yet able to view the 1911 or 1921 as the UK gov has a 100 year closure rule. |

...and British Census are always taken in a year ending 1. there was no 1940 British census, nor was there a 1941 British census taken (because of the war) OC |
