The 1841 census is almost always out in ages!!! I gather that the enumerators were told to round the ages of all adults to the nearest 5. Some did, some didn't!! Plus .................... you always have to allow for the person involved not knowing exactly when he/she or the children were born! The ages on all censuses can be out by as much as 2 years, depending on the time of year when the census was taken vs. the person's birth date ....................... plus may be a few more years because of the above paragraph! The only age you can actually TRUST is the birth date on a birth certificate!!! People lie on marriage certificates .......... you don't have to provide proof of age, name or name/occupation of father. Information on a death certificate is only as good as the knowledge of the person reporting ti to the registrar. Sylvia.

I just had a look at the 1871 census and if I'm looking at the right one it says that Samuel was born in Bedworth, Warwickshire and that Eliza is a grandaughter.
