Susan Just a suggestion but It might help, if you put in your title - More Info needed. People might think that, as the thread has had several replies that your query is sorted. Good luck! Angela

I'm nudging this up again in the hope that someone with access to the USA records will be able to confirm whether this family did go to America, and find them on the census over there for me, please. Thank you, Susan

Sorry Susan, I haven't got a subscription for US records. Maybe change your thread title to US passenger list look-up to attract someone's attention who may have access. Angela

Susan All 4 names appear on New York passenger lists on Ancestry, but I only have UK access so am unable to check the details to see if it's them. It may be worth asking for a US look-up. Angela

Hi Angela, Many thanks for looking, do you think anyone might be able to find them on a U.S. census? Regards, Susan

Can anyone please find Samuel J Hurt (born 1847) and his wife, Minnie (born 1856) after the 1881 census, where they are mistranscribed as Hart, and his date of birth is 1844, but I'm sure it's the right one because he was a 'Smith'. They may have gone to America, because his sister was living there, but the rest of the family were in London. Thank you all in anticipation, Susan
