Thanks K that did come to mind that they may be at school otherswise they were having a hell of a party that day at someones house. It appears that this is all the same family. Realy wonderful thanks for your help everyone if you do find anything else i would be very greatful for any info.

It looks like a school called Maryland Point and Harvey was a pupil

goodness there were alot of people at that address does it say that it was a normal residental home? Or were they at school private tuition ?

Looking at the entrys it has thrown up children that i never knew about (if its the same family) i only ever knew of Rebecca , Harvey and Rachel. I expect that by 1871 William and Timothy could have left home and been married but what had happened to Harvey as he was not in 1861 census but appeared in the 1871 one? Also in the 1861 census result who was the Eliz hoey mentioned was she a servant? Many thanks

Maureen the first entry you put up is the correct family that is the details i have for 1891 but i would have liked an earlier entry to trace Williams family before marriage. Please could someone kindly look up a census paper for William Thomas Middleton i have him later on in 1891 census but i would like to find out details of his family before marriage. I have him as age 60 in 1871 so he would be born roughly 1811 and he comes from South Shields Northumberland which i believe would come under Durham any information would be greatfully received. Mandy
