1861 Census Lancashire Haigh - Missing Pages

The link below is to the Haigh census returns from 1861 on Ancestry. content(.)ancestry(.)co(.)uk/Browse/list(.)aspx?dbid=8767&path=Lancashire(.)Haigh Unfortunately the first few pages haven't been scanned (the first scanned page is page 6 and it is clearly a continuation from a household on the unscanned page 5). Frustratingly, the house that I believe my ancestors lived at is in these missing pages. Does anyone know how I might be able to find a source for these unscanned pages? Dave

Hi David, have you tried the pay per view site www.findmypast.*com , they have the 1861 on there. I have not got any credits, so unfortunately cannot check if they have the missing pages.

Thanks Keith. I'll give it a go. Dave

I've bought some units on findmypast and the pages which are missing from Ancestry are indeed on Findmypast but, surprisingly for me, the ancestors that I was expecting to find on those missing pages are not there. Many thanks for pointing me towards the site though - it's at least ruled out Haigh as the possible location of those particular ancestors of mine. I'll now do a bit more looking round the Findmypast website to see what I should spend the rest of my units on. Dave
