Hi Guys Has anyone got access to Merchant Navy -seamen records for world war 2?. I am trying to find records of the late Arthur Frederick Walker, my father D/B 13/09/1917?? I know he made the front page of newspapers, as one of only approx 12 survivors after a sinking mid Atlantic c1944. He died 23/12/1979 Any help would be greatly appreciated Brian Walker |

You can look for him on National Archives on line. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/seamens-medals.asp Not all are on there Im afraid. You could also try the Merchant Seamens website - just google for it. Good luck. |
