Hi Glitter baby Thanks for looking - I also think this may not be the right James Sanderson, but you never know. I would have thought it unlikely that the master was on the topmast, but maybe the story is not true. Di

I think this one might be too late Overseas Deaths Folio: 403 James Sanderson (Master) age 62 (also has 33) Died 6.3.83 drowned at sea Ship: Depandant Official No: 21079 Date of Receipt of List: 21.7.83 From the BMD at Sea 1854 - 1890

Can anyone lookup the overseas death indexes, please ? James SANDERSON died after 1851, 'lost from the top mast' ?? Also possibly his brothers in India, Charles 1870, William 1870 and Alexander 1860. Di in Sydney
