Hi, if you google the name Kevin Asplin you'll get his brilliant military resources site (sorry can never remember website address - it's far too long!!). He's also extremely helpful and may be able to point you in the right direction if you can't find anything on the site. Best of luck Maria

try putting his name in search on National Archives site. i found a relation on there who was in the Army from 1825-1839 when he was invalided out on a pension. got a copy too of his army record through the site. Shirley

The man I'm trying to get details of was a soldier in the 1840s and 50s, left service by 1860. Thanks for any replies.
