As I live in Canada, I am unable to check the records. I would like to know if Mary Anne and Absalom were married, when she died/buried. I am unable to find any record of Absalom's birth etc. I sent away for my g-grandmother's birth certificate but was told it did not exist as a birth in Armagh. Any help would be appreciated. Birth Mary Anne Gilkinson born 10 OCT 1870 Armagh, Ireland to William and Sarah (nee Taylor) Gilkinson. Mary Anne may have married Absalom Taylor and they had 5 children Sarah my g-grandmother born August 17, 1889 (I am unable to find her birth record) Elizabeth (Lily) Date of Birth: ? Date of Death ? *died in fire in England unmarried Children: May and Lily Children were placed in an orphanage (Bernardo’s) Susan Date of Birth ? Date of Death ? unmarried Son: James (sailor) lived In England James Date of Birth: 1886? Date of Death ? brought to Canada as a bonded farm hand along with his brother Samuel after the death of their mother Samule -Date of Birth June 13 1884 or 1885 Born in Lurgan Date of Death April 13, 1963 Married Mary on December 24, 1916 St Phillips Anglican Church in London, England Children Mary Aug 24 1919 – Kenora, Ont Married Leonard White Brother Jan 1, 1917 – London, England Killed in WWII
