Can i find out rank and title of relative who serv

You can try to find his medal card on the documentsonline site, but if he had a common name and you don't know which regiment he was in, it's impossible to know which is the right one. It costs £3-50 to view. The only other alternative is to search for his service record - it it survives, a lot don't- at Kew. I'm assuming he was in the Army.

If you google National Archives it will let you search for the person you are looking for, if you are lucky enough to find him then you can pay £3 to view

Hi Another question... A great great uncle served during WWI and came home (not sure if at end of war or discharged through injury) is there any way I can find out more info? We he did suffer as a result of WWI as he was a different man when he came back from war and the family ended up throwing him out of the family home because of the abuse he caused to his wife.
