Kerry, perhaps you dont know that births marriages and deaths can be name searched on freebmd - it is being transcribed by volunteers so not complete. If you cannot find what you want on there you then have to search through ancestry's complete bmd index or pay to view on familyrelatives.org. If you are going to do a lot of research Id suggest you consider an ancestry sub. Jennifer has kindly looked up a ref - you can buy certificates using the reference for £7 from GRO online. You will need to buy birth, marriage and death certificates as you research to confirm information or to find further information. |

hi all could someone look up the birth of emma/emily holt she married john allen harrison was told she was born in tipton around 1900, i think her dad may have been billy holt not too sure about that either, died in 1943 we were told after drowning in canal, she was a canal boatwoman any help would be great thanks kerry |
