Thanks Scarlett, I think most likely that you are right with the 1901 Census especially as you can't find anybody else.Yes she must have been quite huge at the time, you know more went on then as much as it is hard to believe than what goes on now. Well maybe a bit of exageration but not far off!!! Is there anybody there who can look up the Mann Family please that I left yesterday. Julia

quite probably wrong then - didnt know you knew all thos facts about her. it isnt unsual for an employer to get their staff details wrong - many had no idea who the even employed-in big households-let alone their middle names although 10 years age out is a bit extreme. cant find another that fits the bill though -------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Alfred Edward Gilham Year of Registration: 1902 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar DISTRICT: Elham County: Kent Volume: 2a Page: 1079 Some what of an expanded waistline when she walked down the aisle then, by the look of it! How many times have we heard ''it didnt happen in my day'' Yes, right..............!

Hi Scarlett, thanks very much, but I have one problem with Margaret that you gave me, as her name is Margaret Ann and she was born in Elham Kent 1876 Sept Qtr 2a 922. Do you think that is just a mistake on their part as I know it happens.I do know that she had a son in 1902 Alfred Edward, I can't remember how I found this out but I think it is correct. Julia

Hi Ozibird, Yes, how very very sad, it seems like this might be the one. You know John Eggleton B1850 I found his death 1853 in Hastings so both of those two children died too. Also found out when Thomas Tiltman died. Now is it possible to please look up 1901 Census for Richard Thomas Amon B1875 married to Emily and have one child Millicent. Folkestone Kent Sarah Elizabeth Baker & husband James Edward Baker for 1901 Census Folkestone Kent Margaret Ann & husband Alfred Gilham B1851 for l1901 Census Folkestone Kent. Have just come back to add this, I have been checking out births from 1845 when Sarah and James Mann married and there are a lot of b irths but the sad thing is I checked the first half a dozen out and they all died so I came to a stop I couldn't bear it. It was so sad, now I am wondering if you would be able to find me an 1851 Census on this couple please as I wondered if they had any children other than James b1846 who survived. Also after checking through the Ancestry I have found James Mann (son) and wife Elizabeth Ann in 1881 Census, checked 1891/1901 Census but I am not set up to look at them, any possibility please. James married Elizabeth Ann Chipp BPortsmouth Hampshire in 1867 Hastings. Later I think I will ask if you could look up the Census before she got married. Forget the top few that I asked you they aren't as important as the Mann family. Didn't mean to put all of this up but only checked out these after. Sorry Thanks Jules.

Thank you ladies, I have just come back and found all your hard work, much appreciated. I was going to check into the BMD but thought I would check in with you first and thank goodness I did. I'm sorry I wasn't around when you asked about Thomas/James as I have the 1871 Census and took note that James had the wrong age. I have the 1901 Census for James when he married. Now I can tell my contact that her and my Amelia are the same person and pass all of the information from you on to her. Now how would you like another one to check out for me. On Census 1861 For this same family there was a Sarah Ann Brice and William Brice, do you think you could check whether they are married or not please as I was wondering if Sarah was also Charlotte and Amelias sister I would like some more information on them. Thanks once again. Julia
