You'll all be pleased to know that I've figured out what happened to Levi Rice so I won't be bugging you any more about him!

Have looked for children. There's two Samuel Rices who were born in Taunton and moved to Wales. However, one is completely different parents. The other one in the 1901 census is a lodger with no other family with him

Found Lewis in 1891 - again a shoemaker - says he's single. No idea if this is the same chap - just trying different spellings. Hello again Yes, they are the correct families. They're a bit of a pain actually. As for following the rest of the family through the census: we, (someone is spending loads of her time helping me) have decided that Christiana is in fact Justina/Jestina, although as there's another Justina years later, we think the first one may have died and they had another called the same. Am a bit stuck on Ann as thought we'd found her band I contacted someone on here who matched up but she said not related. Eliza seems to be unmarried and living with her mother and there's also some younger children there, and in a later census there's more children and Justina is living with Eliza and her mother. Then Justina disappears. Not sure who these younger children belong to: Unmarried Eliza who later married, Justina who maybe died, or if the elder two belonged to their mother who would have been in her 50s! We think Harriet and Thirza (who has various name spellings) may have both died. Very very stuck on this family.

Levi was the son of William Rice (b. 1805 in Honiton on Otter, Devon) and Sarah (b. 1815, Bickenhall, Somerset). I'm unable to find Levi after he leaves his parents except in one census. Any suggestions please? Couldn't find any deaths on FreeBMD either
