Hi Christine, you have been busy. I have just looked in view images but Elizabeth does not appear in marriages in the Sept qtr of 1869. I like the sound of Eliza Hall in the 1871 census, Market Deeping comes under Bourne district. In the 1861 census did it say she was born in Market Deeping? 1881 census is down for maintenance at the moment so I shall have to be patient and check them out later. Thank you for all your help. Frances.

There are 2 death registrations for an Elizabeth Wyles, both in the 4th quarter of 1863. One is in the Stamford district, the other in the Grantham district of Lincolnshire. Unfortunately, years of birth are not entered until after 1865, so we can't tell if either of these are 'your' Elizabeth.

Hmm - 1871 has Eliza Hall, wife of William Hall. She was born 1838, Bourn Lincoln. Family living in Ardwick, Chorlton district of Lancashire. 1871 also has an Elizabeth Peal, wife of Charles Peal, living in Derby. She was born in 1838, Market Deeping. I can find his part of the marriage registration, but not the corresponding half. Looking at the 'full' index, no sign of Elizbeth Wyles marrying Charles in Louth district in 1862. Hmmm.

Thank you Andrea for that information but her parents were John and Mary Wyles and she had a younger brother called Edward. They were born in Market Deeping and living in Towngate in the 1841 and 1851 census. Frances

Thank you Christine for finding her being a servant in 1861. As I chose the wrong husband I am left with her being married to William Hall in Spalding in 1869, so could you check the 1871 census please for her under this name.

Thank you Daphne. I found the marriage in free bmd, her maiden name is Elizabeth Wyles (Wiles). I have not been able to find her in 1861 census or 1871 census, so assumed she got married. Could you check these two census for her please she was born in 1838/9 in Market Deeping. Many thanks Frances

According to Free BMD Christopher Creasey married either Elizabeth Wyles or Harriet Ann Smith. The only one that I can find in 1871 was married to Harriet.

Christine

Christine Report 19 May 2007 15:51

According to the marriage index, Christoper Graham Creasey could have married Harriet Ann Smith or Elizabeth Wyles in 1869 (Spalding district) The 1871 shows a Chris G Creasey, 24. a carpenter from Donnington living in Fletton, Huntingdonshire, with wife Harriet, 22, born Lutterton, Lincoln and 10m daughter Mary Ellen, born Moulton Abbey, Lincolnshire.

Would like information on Elizabeth Creasey who married Christopher Graham Creasey in March 1869 in the Spalding district. I am hoping her birth town is Market Deeping about 1837/1838. Many thanks Frances
