1861 nothing obvious for George this one is a bit young George Sissons abt 1844 Manchester, Lancashire, England Boarder Oldham this one is the right age but birthplace wrong George Sissons abt 1848 Hutton, Yorkshire, England Servant Watton Do you know if he stayed or went with family? Maureen |

Thanks Maureen He was certainly in NZ in 1893.....but I don't know yet when he came - although I do know the name of the ship they came on, so it looks like the library tomorrow!! Now I really must go to bed!!!! Peter |

Robert Sissons b 1815 married Mary Hall b 1825 in 1846 (Coventry). A son, George Thomas Sissons was b 1847 Chorlton. Robert and Mary left Hull in 1862 with their children and went to New Zealand. Unfortunately I don't know the children's names. Is the info I have enough to find them in 1851 and 61 on the census?? It is late in NZ so I won't be back until tomorrow morning to look.
