thats the place you need to be, type in the name and yr and then you have to search 1/4 by 1/4, not the partial index

when you click on, Go directly to UK Birth, Marriage and Death records it takes you to the same page as when you click on, England & Wales BMD Indexes-Updated Under ( MORE COLLECTIONS) then follow my previous instructions Roy

On Ancestry home page under MORE COLLECTIONS click on, England & Wales BMD Indexes-Updated then under Complete BMD Index ranges & Images 1837-1983 click on , Marriages, these records are the actual index and have to be searched quarter by quarter page by page the transcribed Partial FreeBMD Indexes & Images 1837-1983 are only good up to about 1910 Roy

Please can anyone help me.I feel i am doing something wrong. I'm looking for a marriage between a Jean stokes and a Lawson. Not much else to go ,apart from rough marriage year, from 1964/6 when she would have been 16-18 yrs till roughly 1980. When i put the details in the only ones that seem to come up is pre 1900 with the latest being 1915 ish,is this because i'm using the incomplete marriages to search or am i doing something ? Bet they never married after all this. Thank you Tina

you need to click on bmd down the right hand side of ancestry,'browse records' then click marriages.,
