I gave exact name, death date etc to Brighton Council and was charged £12.50 for a look up a few months ago.. Although my gggreatgrandfather had died in Brighton he wasn't buried there or in Hove so I am still searching. |

HI The big cemetry in Brighton is in Bear Road, which is off the Lewes Road as you know the date they may be helpful. If you have the death cert & an address they may be buried in a local parish church, but the Bear Rd is more likely. You might also find a local paper covered the deaths which would be held in Lewes records office. The paper could be the Argus as thats been around for years if you ring them they might have a look in there archives. hope this helps sandra |

It looks like Brighton Council charge for look-ups, but there is information on their site about the information they can provide. I'm sure they will be able to find the grave for you:- http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.cfm?request=c1001142 Kath. x |
