Hi Jenny, Know the feeling its happened to me so dont get down just dont help that person again. It cost nothing to say thank you but some people dont bother. There is a lot of nice people on this site. June x

Just added another name to my growing list of people to ignore when they want help with lookups. Went to look for a thread to nudge it up and it has disappeared. Maureen

PLEASE DO NOT: ask me for help with lookups as they should be placed on the boards to get the best possible result. Jenny is actually talking about people on here who ask for look ups - you can spend hours literally looking up stuff and then get no word of thanks. Im afraid its par for the course and luckily only the small minority who are this ignorant Jenny. Just chalk it down to experience and make sure you add them to your list of people you never help again!

Hi Jennifer Yes I agree it is rude. When people ask for info and to view your tree yet when you reply to let them they never contact you again. They obviously are just 'research copiers'. And when they dont reply after you give them advice is annoying. Also when you ask for advice, and some sarky people dont take you seriously and post nasty replies. Ben

isnt it irritating when you spend ages doing look ups and you come later to find they dont even have the decency to let you know if your right or wrong or just to say thanks anyway,and to add insult they remove the thread,
