Is it possible that this is him in 1881, and whoever he lodged with wasn't sure of his birthplace so just gave the place where he was living at the time? :- Name: John Blackham Age: 22 Estimated birth year: abt 1859 Relation: Lodger Gender: Male Where born: Edmonton, Middlesex, England Civil parish: Edmonton County/Island: Middlesex Country: England Street address: 8 Church Road Education: Employment status: View image Occupation: Labourer Registration district: Edmonton Sub-registration district: Edmonton ED, institution, or vessel: 4 Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Caroline Belton 54 George Belton 57 John Blackham 22 George Hogan 17 William Horne 13 Charles Thompson 21 Source Citation: Class: RG11; Piece: 1388; Folio: 96; Page: 10 If this isn't him, then maybe he is mistranscribed, as the 1881 is notorious for having a lot of mistranscriptions.
