Thank you for looking Margaret. Not getting anywhere with my JONES I thought I'd have another look at these DAVIES' but with varying birthplaces, I'm not holding too much hope. William DAVIES b. abt 1831 was variously recorded as a stone hewer or spoke and hurdle maker...or as a labourer. Gwyn

I don't see his birth on the BVRI discs, Gwyn. I did find his marriage but I think you already have it? William Davis married Sylvia Jane Peak 22 Nov.1859, Madley, Herefordshire. Husband's father William Davis. Wife's father William Peak.

Thank you Reg. He married in 1959 to Silvia Jane PEAK. I haven't found him yet in 1861 but his wife is shown as Jane and is in East Dean, Gloucestershire with her mother Jane LILLEY. Gwyn

Any help would be wonderful to determine birthplace of William DAVIES born abt. 1831 in Herefordshire...... In 1871 to 1901 inclusive he is at The Folly, Madley, Herefordshire. Birthplaces shown as Yatton, Entland, Hentland and Foy...all Herefordshire..... He was the son of William a labourer.
