I cant see a marriage for his parents in Scotland & I cant see John on the 1901 census so you are probably correct & they came from Ireland. Georgina.

Pat, John Fitzgerald married Mary Feeney in Maryhill Glasgow on the 12th november 1925. John was aged 30 & a Widower, his parents were James Fitzgerald, Paper Worker (deceased) & Elizabeth Sweenie. Their witnesses were Thomas & Catherine Hanlon of 69 Kelvin Street Glasgow. Georgina.

HOPE YOU CAN HELP HIT BRICK WALL. MY GRANDDA JOHN FITZGERALD MARRIED TO MARY FEENEY LIVED IN MARYHILL GLASGOW GOT TWO ADDRESSES 75 KELVIN STREET WHERE MY DAD WAS BORN AND 9 SKYE STREET WHERE MY GRANDDA DIED 2ND DECEMBER 1949. I KNOW THAT HE WORKED FOR SCOTTISH GAS BOARD AT TIME OF HIS DEATH ALSO KNOW HE WAS MARRIED BEFORE TO A ESTHER SMITH DIED IN CHILDBIRTH BUT UNSURE WHERE HE WAS BORN POSSIBLY LIMMRICK . WOULD BE GRATFULL FOR ANY HELP YOU COULD GIVE. NEW TO THIS THANKS PAT.
