location of wills for nottingham 1945

can someone please tell me where i could locate a will from a death which took place 1945c in the nottingham area. thankyou

sorry to be thick - where is that situated? never had to look for a will before, this info is for my friend.

Nottingham also has a probate office. They might try to make you get the will from York, but they should supply it themselves!

thanks ann thats what i needed to know. i knew about york (most of my rellies are yorkshire), but my friend wanted to locate a nottingham will. so much stuff on google could not be sure what i was looking at! told you i was thick. thanks again
