I have been given some help on a relative WILLIAM KEMPS. I was now wondering if its possible to trace him back further- he was born in 1836, Ireland, and emigrated to Scotland due to the potato famine. Just wondering if its at alll possible to trace the family bac further. Thanks again, Michael |

Hello there. There are a few (not a lot) of William Kemps on IGI (familysearch) I found one that looks interesting. Its a start, maybe? William KEMP Sex: M Event(s): Birth: C. 1836 Cavan, Ire. Parents: Father: William KEMP Mother: Jane KEMP also if you put 'Ireland' in GR's Record/Tips Board search box, you might find someone on GR that is doing look-ups for Ireland? Good luck anyway. The name Kemps is not particularly Irish. It's possible that the family went from Scotland to Ireland and then returned to Scotland. Jim |
