yes it is, the 41 census has him with john and ann, been lucky with son john 1840 always chester le street birth which made thing easy, but before that is a problem.. they were married in newcastle 1839 but john was born in chester le street, they dissappeard , hold on get my archer stuff, on the 51 then turned up at south shields, sort of durham on the 61, then back to proper durham on the 71 onwards, which i have... john and ann on the 41 census obviously say nothing but ann was not born in the county john abt 1766 was an agricultaral labourer aged 75!!!!, was he his grandfather and not his dad, george was also the same as above born 1818 OH WHY did i start this sharon

Julie

Julie Report 6 Feb 2007 21:19

Sharon when you said Sarah's g/mother was Allen, was it on her mums or dads side we'll see if we can tie the last bit in

Sharon

Sharon Report 6 Feb 2007 21:19

think her birth may have been the right one, census was probably transcribed wrong, 61 she is 40, 71 she is 50, 81 she is 60, 91 she is dead. i have the igi, if it`s the right one but the census was taken at diff months depending on the year, but then again 1826 could be mistaken for 1820 as in 6/0 sharon

Julie

Julie Report 6 Feb 2007 21:16
